Cumplicidades - Lisbon International Contemporary Dance Festival

CUMPLICIDADES is an international festival dedicated to dance, contemporary thought and meetings between creators, culture professionals and public. We aim to support and present Portuguese and foreign artists whose areas of work go from dance or other artistic disciplines that work the body, the movement and the thought. While thinking Cumplicidades we considered that a programme must have a purpose anchored in the artistic and social reality of a population. We felt that was urgent to create an opportunity, a context, that would propel a sense of community and of self-pride. There was a need of a festival which would mark dance in the city’s collective imagery.
