I.TH.A.C.A. - Improv, Theater and Creative Arts Festival in Athens 2026
Introduction: The Journey of I.TH.A.C.A.
Every journey begins with a leap into the unknown a step away from what we know and into what we might become.I.TH.A.C.A. Festival was born from that spirit. From its very first edition in 2025, this Athens-based celebration of Improv, Theater, and Creative Arts set out to create more than a festival: it built a living community. A community of artists, dreamers, and collaborators who come together not just to perform, but to connect, experiment, and rediscover what live art can mean.
In a world where time moves fast and stories get lost, I.TH.A.C.A. invites performers and audiences to slow down, play, and explore the uncharted territories of creativity. It’s a journey back to the essence of theater to shared moments, laughter, vulnerability, and the magic of being together in the present moment.
I.TH.A.C.A. began as a dream of connection and it has now become a growing home for artists from across the world.
A Festival of Exploration
In its second edition, I.TH.A.C.A. expands its vision while staying true to its core values: community, creativity, collaboration, and discovery. The festival embraces improv as both an art form and a philosophy a way of creating in the moment, without a script, trusting instinct, and celebrating imperfection. Around this foundation, the festival builds bridges with scripted theater, physical performance, clowning, stand-up, and experimental storytelling, inviting artists from multiple disciplines to share, learn, and co-create.
Each edition unfolds under a unique artistic direction, a thematic compass guiding participants and audiences toward new creative landscapes.
This evolving artistic direction ensures that every edition of I.TH.A.C.A. isn’t just a repetition, but a reinvention an ongoing conversation between the local and the international creative community.
