Annually since 2015, over a 3-day weekend in Berlin, the ID Festival (Israel-Deutschland) explores through art and discussions the dynamics between communities of various backgrounds, Israelis and-non Israelis, people of diverse political and religious beliefs, gender and sexual orientations, physical abilities, and also the underprivileged and refugees.

The ID Festival highlights the connection between the “I” and the “D” of its acronym as a paradigm of hope, change, tolerance and understanding. It also sets to explore the myriad identity questions, old and new, that the current stand of the Israeli-German relationship raises. With growing tension between globalist and fundamentalist trends, these questions become even more relevant.

The 2020 festival edition will take place at our main venue partner , the Radialsystem Berlin, between April 24-26, 2020. With musical, theatrical and other performative events we will explore our 2020 festival's motto: the absurd.

ID Festival is generously supported by the German Bundestag through the Ministry of Culture and the Medias.
