LMDP Festival International of theater art and new Technologies - X° edition

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THEATRE, ART AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES "THE WONDERS OF POSSIBLE"

Kyber teatro, a new technologies and theater Italian company, organises every year in Cagliari (ITALY) “Le Meraviglie del Possibile”, International Festival of Theatre Art and New Technologies. It has his first Edition in 2014 and it represents in Italy the first platform of international reference concerning “technology oriented” theatre and performing media arts. It is an innovative network that promotes the contamination between humanistic culture and scientific knowledge and it involves national and international audience, artists (directors, actors and actresses, musicians, performers, dancers, media artists), scientists and technologists.

Among innovation and imagination and between humanist and scientific culture, the Festival presents every year a rich schedule of activities and events, all focused to spread the knowledge of this specific artistic technologic theater sector according to the new digital and creative field.

A strong community dimension is one very important peculiarity of the Festival.The audience is being accompanied to approach and understand better this kind of shows and activities connected all with the new technologies: like performances, theater plays, conferences, workshops,talks, installation.

Transdisciplinarity and international dimension are the focus of LMPD Festival.Digital artists arrive to the Festival through an INTERNATIONAL OPEN CALL for artists. We publish it to the main international and national networks about perfoming arts and new technologies.Every year there is a winner who present his project and performance to the Festival audience.

One of the most original character of the festival is the educational point of view of the planned activities. Most of the activities are aimed to young people, involving the humanistic and scientific High Schools and Universities. The objective is to promote creativity use of new technologies in young generation so that they can have specific competences in a digital sector.
