59th International Festival Wratislavia Cantans “Migrations”

This year's 59th edition, titled Migrations, will take place on September 5-15, 2024. During the festival, we will look at the concept of "migration" from a musical perspective. We would like the audience to notice that the music they listen to often has its sources in historical and social events. We understand migration in the context of human fate, as well as the spread of ideas and the occurrence of similar elements in cultures thousands of kilometers away from each other. During the festival, we will hear many masterpieces created thanks to such journeys. We would like the Festival's theme and the programme built around it to make us ask ourselves questions and at the same time to allow us to enjoy the music.
