Destiny in vertigo is Operafest Lisboa's 2022 moto in its 3rd Edition with vibrating opera to everyone!

After the success of its two first editions, with great public adhesion, with excellent critics as one “out of the box” European opera festival, OPERAFEST LISBOA, directed by soprano Catarina Molder and produced by Ópera do Castelo, from great opera classics to Vanguardism, brings the emotion of opera to everyone, from August 19th to September 10th, in the unique setting of the National Museum of Ancient Art Garden, right in the heart of Lisbon!

Launching and closing with Masked Balls – Giuseppe Verdi’s and operatic rave “Masked Ball to defy destiny” from an American evening double Bill with one acto operas: Menotti's Labyrinth & Barber's A Hand of Bridge, over Maratona Opera XXI, contemporary opera contest betting in opera directors emerging talents and revisiting repertoire in “the closet”, to absolute premiere of Minotaur” by João Ricardo and the thrilling opera The Man of Dreams (2022) by António Chagas Rosa or enchanting children and families with beautiful opera by Isabelle Aboulker – Jeremy Fisher (2007), at Operafest’s opera is served with plenty of adrenaline!
