StudentFest

StudentFest started in 1992 as a reaction to censorship regarding art, thus evolving and becoming an international student festival of art and culture, reaching in 2020 the 29th edition. During the editions concluded, the festival had over 15,000 participants and artists who have continued the story of StudentFest.

The main purpose of the festival is to create an environment that encourages young artists to express themselves and to promote them on a continuous basis, which has been a real launch pad over the years. Throughout the festival, we bring to the attention of the public diverse cultural events with free access, thus building a multicultural dialogue with those interested, as well as workshops designed to give to the participants new opportunities to learn and develop creatively in different art fields. Along with established facilitators and artists, they will create a final artistic concept that will be exposed later on one way or another.

StudentFest sends annually a message that is reflected through the chosen themes (which are different from year to year), arising from the current problems of society and everyday life. The 8 sections of the project: Visual Arts, Urban Arts, Dancing, Fashion Design, Photo-Video, Literature, Music and Theatre are also trying to outline the theme reflected in all their events. Workshops are organised within each section. Participants from across the country will use their creativity and skills in order to create, under the guidance of specialists in the field. Thus, they are encouraged to give a fresh and airy shape to art. As much as open events are concerned, national and international artists will be invited, giving the youth a chance to see them in action.
