Wratislavia Cantans was established by Andrzej Markowski in 1965 as an oratorio-cantata festival. Presently, under the artistic direction of Giovanni Antonini, the festival focuses mainly on emphasizing the beauty of human voice. Each year, thousands of music aficionados come together to admire the stars of classical music during the concerts held in the impressive, state-of-the-art Concert Halls of National Forum of Music, as well as in historical interiors both in Wrocław and many towns in Lower Silesia.The festival hosts world-famous ensembles, conductors and soloists. It is a real treat for all the vocal-music enthusiasts.
