The Zagare Fringe Festival is a biennial Fringe Festival that takes place in the northern Lithuanian town of Zagare, just minutes from the border with Latvia.

It is the only Fringe Festival in the Baltic Region and was established in 2015.

Zagare offers an amazing array of interesting and unused spaces, which provide fresh inspiration to Fringe artists to come and create something new, or to breathe new life into their existing repertoire.

The 2019 theme is to ‘reach those people who feel out of reach’. To open the gates and create a pathway through the protective fences people build up around themselves. To acknowledge that music, theatre and the arts generally have such therapeutic qualities and powers. That they can reach across language, political and geographical borders, and bring whole communities together on the journey.
