Move Off - 17th Edition

MOVE OFF is an International Dance Festival organised by the MOTUS Company in collaboration with Castelnuovo Berardenga City Council in the frame of the permanent artistic residency of the MOTUS Company at Vittorio Alfieri Theatre in Castelnuovo Berardenga (Siena, Italy). The 17th edition of the Move Off Festival is characterised by the presence of well-established Italian and International companies as well as by young choreographers selected through 2025 Move Off Call for Young Choreographers.

“What does it matter if you were born in the duck yard when you hatch from a swan's egg?”. The show is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Ugly Duckling, focusing on the concepts of diversity and acceptance.

"Beyond 26” lies in the exploration of modern communication within interpersonal relationships, highlighting the struggle to maintain genuine connections. To create a language, we use words. To create words we use letters, which in the English alphabet are 26, but communication goes beyond just words.
