180° - Laboratory for Innovative Art is a seven-day event that unites European and international artists from a variety of fields, including contemporary classical music, electronic music, contemporary dance, visual arts, experimental theatre, and architecture. Our primary aim is to inspire these diverse artists to engage in debate, ideation, and experimentation, transcending their different mediums, social backgrounds, and artistic and physical boundaries. We take pride in having established a rich artistic network that has nurtured ongoing collaborations.

Throughout art history, artists have often grappled with a fundamental question: 'Are we creating art or a product?' In our contemporary world, we are surrounded by various artistic formats, shaped to meet society's criteria and fit neatly into predefined labels and categories. These norms can sometimes compel artists to alter their visions to conform, prompting questions like 'What will gain more popularity or sell better?' rather than pursuing innovative, riskier ideas. At 180° - Laboratory for Innovative Art, we firmly believe in the power of risk-taking as a catalyst for advancement. We provide our artists with an environment that encourages exploration and thinking outside the box, fostering true innovation in art.

Crucially, our festival is dedicated to the initial stages of the artistic process and the trial of new ideas. We do not invite ready productions; instead, we focus on nurturing the first sparks of creativity and the trial runs of innovative concepts.
