"A NEW SENNE FOR A NEW WAVE".The festival returns for a third edition that is as ambitious and innovative as ever. Over a weekend, discover the new wave of Belgian theater. From May 2 to 4 at the Théâtre des Riches-Claires and the Mercerie, let yourself be carried away by the new wave.We're proud to present eight shows highlighting emerging artists from the Belgian cultural sector. The projects of this third edition, presented by graduates of the Brussels, Liège and Mons Conservatoires, IAD, INSAS and Cours Florent, reflect all the creativity and audacity of tomorrow's Belgian theater. The program includes award-winning shows from the META Festival in Florence, the OUTSAS Festival, the Masquerade Festival in Nogent, the Festival les Automnales and the Festival Courant d'air, as well as several artists who have been awarded the Prix PlayRight 2022 and 2023. Pursuing our mission to present creations by young people for young people, we have imagined a committed and accessible program that highlights the issues and concerns of our generation. We offer a space for reflection and expression, opening up debate on collective issues such as the fight against discrimination, whether social, racial or sexual, as well as more intimate questions such as mental health, the place of the family unit, or our relationship with the death or the violence that surrounds us. The special feature of this third edition is the creation of "LABO" spaces where young artists can come and propose the first drafts of creations that are still in their infancy. Our aim is to create an inclusive space for creation and artistic dissemination, one that encourages experimentation and exchange, and leaves room for trial and error, without giving way to judgment. Three projects will be presented, ranging from readings/exhibitions to immersive performances.
