Be in the move ,Movement as life... even when we think we are motionless, life continues in us, we continue to breathe, our heart to beat, our ideas to exist.

Be in the Move is a festival that welcomes dance, theatre and music in the evocative natural setting of the archipelago of La Maddalena in northern Sardinia. Dedicated to the man and hero Giuseppe Garibaldi, who was born in Nice and died in Caprera, one of the objectives of the festival is to be a bridge between Italy and France by inviting French artists and companies to meet and work with Italian artists and companies.

G. Garibaldi is certainly a man who lived in movement, the physical movement, through his world travels, but also the movement of his ideas and thoughts. Through his life and his memories we have the opportunity to talk about different topics that touch us closely; hence the subtitle Garibaldi, memory and current events in dialogue. Memory is constantly put in dialogue with the present, because forgetting means opening the door to the possibility of losing the rights that seem so natural to us today, and which instead are constantly threatened and called into question by different cultures, religions and policies.

We will talk about Europe the one dreamed and imagined by the Hero and the one of today, we will talk about women's emancipation, ecology and the relationship between man and nature inspired by Garibaldi the farmer, we will talk about the encounter with the cultures of other countries in the world and about being a foreigner. These are just some of the themes that will allow us to invite artists from Italy and abroad each year. Artists who will bring their reflections and animate a dialogue with the territory and its population. Artists who will allow us, through workshops dedicated to all ages, to create a true exchange with the community, a nugget of reflections, ideas and artistic actions. Each year the workshops will give rise to a performance of reflection between Actuality and Memory.
