Borgo Universo
Borgo Universo was born in 2017 as a street art and astronomy festival. Every year we host international artists in Aielli who paint in the streets of the town to tell the relationship between earth and sky that we live in Aielli. Today our open-air museum has 41 works that stage the dialogue with the Universe that it started with Filippo Angelitti, an astronomer born in Aielli in 1856, and continues today inside the Tower of the Stars, our astronomical observatory. Borgo Universo wants to offer a creative and innovative way to give new life to the internal areas of our country, often abandoned and depopulated, not only through culture, art and science but also and above all through encounter and openness towards others, towards peoples and cultures of other parts of the world.
