Danza Urbana - International Dance Festival in urban landescapes, XXVII edition

The Association Danza Urbana ETS is organising the twentyseventh annual DANZA URBANA - Festival Internazionale di Danza nei Paesaggi Urbani (International Festival of Dance in Urban Landscapes), that will take place in Bologna, Italy, from September 6th to 10th 2023. DANZA URBANA's main goal is to experience and rediscover the city and its architecture - parks, streets, water canals, squares, buildings – through dance, with artists, experts, choreographers, and audiences from all over the world. The Festival presents a variety of proposals ranging from contemporary dance to dance theatre, from street dance to dance in relation to architecture and other arts, from promenade performances to vertical dance, freeing dance from the technical restrictions of the theatrical space, transforming a place into a stage for performance. Performances do not take place on stage, but in natural settings, either historical or contemporary. Since its first edition, Festival DANZA URBANA promotes young Italian dance artists and the emerging international dance authors.
