Festival La Maison Danse Uzès
The culmination of the season, the Festival, born in 1996, marks the foundation of the Maison à Uzès, the cradle of the national choreographic development centre. It is part of prestigious heritage places and outdoor sites, making it its identity and success.
Since 2021, it has also found its place in the new cultural equipment of the Pays d'Uzès, the Ombrière.
Dedicated to new forms, experimental approaches and repertoire pieces from the history of dance, the festival also leaves an essential place for regional creation.
Its stated European orientation makes it possible to discover choreographers not known in France.
Meetings with guest choreographers, workshops, and a film program with the Capitol punctuate the festival and allow the public to meet the shows' authors, go through their practices, and perfect their choreography culture by watching dance films.
