Gibanja - an experimental sound festival

Gibanja is an experimental sound festival organised by KONTEJNER I bureau of contemporary art praxis, which creates a space for experimental sound expressions, sound art and spatial-sound creativity. Gibanja is a space of sound: sound experiments, contemporary musical tendencies, intersection of sound and new technologies, and a space of immersive sound and audiovisual experiences. Within the first two editions, it presented a wide spectrum of diverse poetics, different approaches and ways of working with sound: sound itself, sound in space, sound and image, or sound and light. The participants at Gibanja are musicians and sound artists who alter the way we listen and our perception of sound, either by means of immersing the listener in sound or through their idiosyncratic musical articulations, and ultimately providing a unique experience, in the here and now.
