International Festival Sarajevo Winter

International Festival Sarajevo Winter takes place every year from February 7 to March 21. It was established after XIV Olympics Games held in Sarajevo. It gathers artists form all over the world, cooperates with cultural institutions, embassies, NGOs in the country and abroad. Programs are mainly held in Sarajevo, but also on mountains and other B&H cities. During 42 days every year Sarajevo is a meeting place for artists and those who love arts.

The motto of this year International Festival Sarajevo Winter is "Go Green Festivals, stories". Young artists will walk in Sarajevo's parks and get familiar with the programme that affirms through art the protection of the environment and the importance of the four elements: water, earth, air and fire. With a focus on forests and rivers. The opening of the festivals has workshops for young sculptors that will take place in nature. The programme is dedicated to forests on the Olympic mountains and the conquest of new green oases in the city. During the festival there is a lecture by emeritus prof. dr. George Rivera in the ARs Aevi collection space on Joseph Boys and suspicion, musical performances by artists in open spaces and so much more.
