26. Internationales Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival Stuttgart

The International Solo Dance-Theatre-Festival takes place every year on four days in March and enables contemporary choreographers and young dancers to show their new, modern, individual and experimental productions on stage of the Robert-Bosch-Saal at the TREFFPUNKT Rotebühlplatz in Stuttgart.The organization is VHS - Stuttgart with support from the Culture Department of the City of Stuttgart and Ministry of Science, Research and Art of the state of Baden-Württemberg.

The piece that is presented either as a premiere or has celebrated its premiere within the last 12 months may be interpreted by the choreographer him/herself or by another dancer who should be 30 or less. The duration of the performance has to be between 9 and 12 minutes.

The application for the 25th International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival 2021 can be filed online from July 2020 until the middle of November 2020. You can find the application from July on with this link: https://www.solo-tanz-theater.de

The jury awards six prizes altogether, three for each of the two categories "choreography" and "dance". The 1st prizes are awarded with € 3.500,- each, 2nd prizes with € 2.500,- each and the 3rd prizes with € 1.500,- each (minus the taxes).

We will take care of the hotel accommodation (double bed room which will be shared with another participant) from the day of the performance until the day after the final. The travel costs will be reimbursed in a travel allowance depending on the distance you have to travel.
