Lounais-Hämeen Musiikkipäivät

Welcome to our diverse international music festival in the time of nightless nights at Southwest Tavastia in Southern Finland. In our concerts you can enjoy high quality performances from all genres of music; classic, jazz, folk music and entertaining music, but also visual arts are a part of our program.

The main performers are Orchestra da Camera di Mantova (Italy), Quartetto di Cremona (Italy), Filippo Faes (Italy), Finnish Baroque Orchestra FiBO, Waltteri Torikka (Finland), Emil Holmström and his friends - chamber ensemble and Wade Mikkola with his Summer Night AllStars - jazz ensemble.

There will be interesting concerts in the local churches, in the music hall of the Workers House in Forssa, in the manor house of Urpola, in an idyllic restaurant Vanha-Norri, a picnic- concert in the park of the manor house of Jokioinen and as the final of the festival a big folk music event for whole family in the folk park of Saari in Tammela.

In the folk music event you can enjoy performances of the brightest stars of Finnish folk music; Salamakannel and Jonna Tervomaa, Vanhanpiian pojat, Bill Hota & Pulvers, Maija Kauhanen, Juurakko, Heikki Laitinen & Reijo Kela, Vilma Jää, Mikko Perkoila & Vinkulelu, Pekko Käppi & K:H:H:L, Mauno Järvelä and Kaustisen Näppäripelimannit and dance master Antti Savilampi.
