“Origins”, Open Festival of the Ukrainian Culture

The main objectives of the festival “Origins” are to preserve and promote the intangible cultural heritage by presenting Ukrainian national culture, traditions and customs and sharing experience with other regions of Ukraine. The mission of the festival is to attract public attention to origins of the multifaceted Ukrainian culture.

The unique and original festival atmosphere is based upon creative laboratories, workshops, fashion show of Ukrainian traditional clothes and other cultural and artistic events.

Any folk-ethnographic group, folk art collective, folk song and dance company, folk music group, individual performer, and reenactor of Ukrainian traditional clothes may take part in the festival.

The festival promotes the knowledge and art of indigenous culture, ceremonial actions and celebrations, traditional social dances, performing arts, traditional clothes. We involve collectives that inherit traditions of a specific location or region. We raise the interest of young people in popular and traditional culture. Let’s move and dance with "Origins"!
