Osor Musical Evenings

Osor Musical Evenings (Osorske glazbene večeri) that takes place in Osor, a small historic town in the heart of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago, every summer since 1976. The original idea behind the festival was to revive Osor during the summer, and to promote the works by Croatian composers of all generations. Although in the first decades the festival held musicological conferences, theatre and opera productions, today Osor Musical Evenings are oriented exclusively to musical programmes. Every festival edition sees world premieres of at least five works by living composers, while around fifteen concerts are held from mid-July to mid-August.
