Seanema Film Festival

Seanema Film Festival introduced a new concept in Montenegro, that of Arts for Social Change or Cinema Activism.

Each year, Seanema captures current political situation in pictures and tackles (social) issues by not only re-framing them and placing them back in the agenda, but actually initiating an open debate in an independent arena. Themes of previous editions examined issues related to corruption, rule of law, gender inequality, violent extremism, exile, identity, social marginalization.

The festival platform promotes intercultural exchange and seeks to juxtapose narratives, languages and diverse cultural identities.
