Tampere Theatre Festival

Tampere Theatre Festival is the oldest and the finest theatre festival in northern Europe, serving annually as a display window for the most interesting Finnish and international productions.

The Main Programme forms the artistic framework of the festival, but it also includes OFF Tampere fringe festival, TelttaLab Programme, Hotel Tammer Concerts and Great Nocturnal Happening. Besides the performances, various meetings, seminars and discussions are also organised during the festival week.

Annually in the beginning of August the city of Tampere becomes Finland's theatre capital as local and international performing arts troupes take over the city's stages and squares.
