Venus in theater

Venere in Teatro - Dance Festival is back, scheduled from 5 to 17 September 2023: the third edition opens to the theme of the "emptiness" taken as inspiration to bring together performative works that manifest, within the compositional veins, that fullness of energy and thought that defines the scenic body. The void intertwines the history of sciences, arts and spirituality of both the Western and Eastern worlds: fear, absence, essence, truth, origin, multiverse. The space of movement, action, relationship and change: we can grasp the void as the porosity that allows us to go and meet, generating phenomena and possibilities. Dance, the language of Venus in the Theater, is measured precisely with the void which becomes the palpable matter with which muscles and bones are transformed into symbols and poems. 16 performances scheduled, 3 of which outdoors and 2 in museum spaces, 9 evenings open to the public. To enrich the weeks, a 5-day workshop, 2 masterclasses, talks, video dance and shiatsu treatments are offered. The Festival takes place in Mestre at warehouses 30 and 32 in Forte Marghera also intervening in the external spaces: spaces for former military use until 1992 which more and more open up to a definition of spaces for live arts. Two weeks in which to immerse yourself in a wonderful urban park where you can meet the arts live in the renewed breath of the place.
