The active response of the NGO "Clowns Without Borders" involves bringing smiles on children in extreme circumstances, restoring hope and dignity to them. In homage to this militant art, the 11th edition of "Encontro International de Palhaços de Vila do Conde" dedicates the theme "Clowns Without Borders" to the NGO founded in 1993 by the Catalan clown and artist Tortell Poltrona, the main name of this event that will once again bring joy to Vila do Conde, Portugal, from October 9 to 13, 2024.An unforgettable gathering is anticipated, where all boundaries—generational, geographical, cultural, social, and economic—dissolve in the good news of joy, talent, and communion.
