Dobrynya Fest

International historical and cultural festival Dobrynya Fest 2019

Dedicated to the prominent historian of Kyivan Rus’ on behalf of DOBRYNYA, a prototype of the epic hero of Dobrynya Nikitich, a favorite of the Ukrainian people who was born in the city of Korosten (in ancient Iskorosten) - the capital of the Drevlyanska principality (in the present day it is Zhytomyr and partly in the Kiev region).

Patriotic and heroic traditions of the epic era of Kyivan Rus’ during the days of Prince Volodymyr the Great and Dobrynya Nikitich never died in the people, they lived for millennia. These traditions are deeply in tune with Ukrainian patriotism, and an interest in the IX-X centuries - the key period of our history - does not fade away both in Ukraine and abroad.

Participants:
• Scientists, archaeologists, historians, researchers, specialists, students of national state institutions and universities, non-state cultural centers;
• Establishments, clubs of historical reconstruction, everyday life, crafts, military affairs of the early Slavs;
• Musical folk, ethnic and contemporary artists, bands;
• Ukrainian producers and masters of craft products, ornaments, curiosities.
