Festival Antivaro

The festival aims to present different theatre genres and styles to an audiences which has no way to watch professional theatre during winter. Thus, it hosts professional theatre troupes from Athens or the rest part of Greece. The main criterion for their selection is the high quality of their performances, the experimental character, the boldness in the choice of themes or the form they use to set up their performance. At the same time, it hosts musical groups that seek a different sound, based on the traditional music of the Eastern Mediterranean or the Greek and European art music, but that also use new sounds, improvisation, unexpected instruments. The Festival's greatest achievement is its constant, particularly warm relationship with the audience.
