Since 2001, Festival Internazionale Sul Filo del Circo has taken place each summer in Grugliasco, a small town near Turin, which has become centre of excellence in contemporary circus. The festival embodies tradition and innovation, inviting companies with a strong innovative approach as well as shows by leading artists from traditional circus. Organizers aim for the festival to be the reinvention of tradition, hosting artists who combine excellent circus techniques with contemporary drama.
