Iitti Music Festival

12 Jun 2024 - 15 Jun 2024
Iitin kirkonkylä, Finland

Year after year, the Iitti Music Festival features top national and international artists and rising stars. The Artistic Director is Laura Mikkola, a pianist of international acclaim. Thanks to her, the festival programme always consists of both classical and contemporary music, often world or Finnish premieres, and unique crossover events. In idyllic village settings, just before Midsummer.

The Iitti Music Festival is an event focusing primarily on chamber music. It takes place mainly in the idyllic village of Iitti and its wooden cruciform church – over 300 years old and one of the finest of its kind in Finland. The Festival culminates in the hauling of a piano up to the site of an ancient hill fortress for a midnight open-air concert. - Concurrent with the Festival is a summer music school.
