Lights in Alingsås

Every October, leading lighting designers gather in the small city of Alingsås along with 60 international design students to create well-lit outdoor environments. For five weeks, the installations are displayed for the public. Outdoor spaces are turned into oases of light that provide new and attractive venues in the town. Lights in Alingsås brings around 80 000 visitors annually and the exhibition has become the largest lighting event in public spaces in Northern Europe.
