MAFRA DANCE FESTIVAL

The Mafra Dance Festival is a democratic and inclusive space for culture and citizenship, in which independent structures or individuals, professionals or amateurs, can participate, giving visibility to their work and contributing to the development of careers and arts. The Festival's objective is not competition but participation and collaboration, it is a space for showcase, visibility, promotion and development of participants, enriching knowledge and new possibilities. Bringing different views on Performative Dance and contributing to the formation of an audience and a culturally active and aware community in the area of dance. Aimed at all DANCE lovers, artists in training, emerging and professionals, over 12 years old.

The works will be selected by open call, using criteria that focus on quality, originality, authenticity, relevance and fit within the festival. Sign up! We are together and creating Culture!

OPENCALL Applications for the 3rd edition of the Mafra Dance Festival are open. MDF is a dance festival organised by Amalgama Companhia de Dança with the support of Mafra City Council that promotes and showcases talents and skills, in a variety of positions in Contemporary Performative Dance. The Festival will take place from 24 to 26 May. For all DANCE lovers, artists in training, emerging artists and professionals from the age of 10. Proposals can be submited until 1 April, for the VideoDance Exhibition or for the Choreographic and Performative exhibition.
