MAGGIO ALL'INFANZIA
Maggio all'Infanzia was born 25 years ago with the idea of not being simply a festival for children but a festival of childhood.
Childhood is an age and a particular condition that must be preserved and cared for throughout life; it means the capacity for amazement and discovery, a way of discovering the world and others that presupposes intelligence, lightness and authenticity.
We want to offer all those who participate in the festival, children, and adolescents, the opportunity to rediscover and heal the child's soul through shows, exhibitions, creative workshops, etc. We are convinced that the encounter with art, beauty, and emotions can only favour this occasion and thus make a more mature and happy community.
Maggio all’infanzia festival has a multidisciplinary characterization, with the most interesting national and international theatrical productions. Its various expressions, figure, narration, animation, and actor's theatre, is the main protagonist of dense programming that sweeps across a panorama wide of experiences and realities that care for childhood, education and art in its various expressions.
During the days of the festival, until night, the programme includes theatrical performances, exhibitions, cinema, meetings with authors, philosophy meetings for children, artistic workshops, morning editorial presentations, and reflection paths on current topics.
Another element that strongly depicts the festival is the ability to build a strong relationship with the beauty, the richness of the places where it takes place, bringing the activities to places unusual for art and culture, thus favouring, as well as a knowledge of the territory, also wider and wider community participation.
Furthermore, one of the important characteristics of the Maggio all'Infanzia is that it is a “showcase”, an opportunity for visibility for the scheduled theatrical companies. In fact, the festival hosts directors and sector operators from all over Italy and abroad
