60th International Festival Wratislavia Cantans “Paradise Lost”

04 Sep 2025 - 14 Sep 2025
Wrocław, Poland

The 60th edition of the Wratislavia Cantans Festival, titled Paradise Lost [?], will take place from September 4 to 14, 2025, in Wrocław and other cities in Lower Silesia. This year's theme invites reflection on the duality of human nature and the world we shape-questioning whether paradise is truly lost or if it can be found anew through art and community.

Artistic Director Andrzej Kosendiak, co-authoring the theme with Giovanni Antonini, emphasizes that music serves as a space for understanding in times of division. The festival will feature a diverse program, including a commissioned Requiem by Zygmunt Krauze dedicated to the innocent victims of wars, highlighting the festival's engagement with contemporary global events.
