The festival Mülheimer Theatertage NRW "Stücke" is a forum of contemporary German-language drama which has been taking place every May and June in the city of Mülheim since 1976. The selection of seven or eight new plays from the respective theatre season is made by an independent board. At the end of each festival, a jury of theatre professionals awards the Mülheim Dramatist Award, which is endowed with a remuneration of € 15,000. The decision is based on the play rather than the production.
