Puistoblues first festival was held in 1978 . Since over 40 years Puistoblues has become one of the leading blues festival in Europe. Festival has been honored by many legends like Albert Collins, John Lee Hooker, The Band, ZZTop, Nina Simone, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc.
Effect to local community is big by free concerts at the town centre of Järvenpää. Puistoblues gathers around 60000 visitors in five days to enjoy music and athmosphere. Puistoblues is held by 350 volunteers and it has a big influence to the local surroundings.
