TRACKS 2023

18 Jul 2023 - 23 Jul 2023
Göteborg, Sweden

TRACKS is a tool for bringing Ukraine closer to Europe and building relationships and narratives that work towards this end. It is a mobile microfestival with trains as metaphor, places of meeting, creation or display of art organised in pairs, one artist in a pair is from Ukraine, and the other is from Europe.

TRACKS is
Curated value-based collaborations in pairs that aims to make new collaborations that will continue to live outside the TRACKS framework. Unexpected places of performance, preferably related to trains or train stations. A modular structure that can adapt to a variety of places of performance.
A variety of artistic expressions, preferably a mix even within the pairs.
A platform for meetings and conversations, for collaborative storytelling
For professional or committed artists.
No less than 3 pairs per festival but no upward limit in the amount of artists.
A specific aesthetics in terms of stage design
Surprising, both for the audience and participants

TRACKS is not
A fundraiser (even though funds might be generated as a side product)
A demonstration, there are better venues for this
A place for shock or for confrontation
A fixed group of artists, but rather varying from place to place.

TRACKS works best for collaborations-minded artists with a degree of flexibility in their approach that allows for interaction with the audience and creative partners, and with a value-based approach to the understanding of their role in society,
