The ensembles awarded by the ORPHEUS Swiss Chamber Music Competition form the core of the Swiss Chamber Music Festival, which is extended by opening, closing, wildcard, da capo and surprise concerts. The three first-class ensembles will also have the opportunity, opened by Pro Helvetia, to commission a composition from outstanding young Swiss composers for their concert.
The "music" foundation is supplemented by the "mediation" specialisation. Concert moderation and open workshops are standard, as is the involvement of children in listening and playing and, for the first time, a range of courses.
