Festival Cities and Regions
The European Festivals Association (EFA) is convinced about the importance of mayors and decision makers on the local level. We are equally convinced about the importance of the relation and collaboration between a city and its arts festivals. We also assume that a city together with its festivals has a task to fulfill for Europe since we believe in the creative power of art and culture to strengthen the possibilities and willingness of citizens to become active in the future development of Europe.

Festival Cities and Regions Portrait
The Festival Cities and Regions Portrait on FestivalFinder.eu allows festivals and audiences worldwide to discover municipalities and regions that hold the EFFE Seal so far. The Festival Cities and Regions Portrait gives visitors to the website an overview of the municipality or region itself as well as the festivals taking place in it.
This is the most visible aspect of the EFFE Seal for Festival Cities and Regions, highlighting the commitment of these cities and regions to their festivals.
EFFE Seal for Festival Cities and Regions
The EFFE Seal for Festival Cities and Regions is a project developed by EFA, launched in collaboration with seven cities - Belgrade, Bergen, Edinburgh, Ghent, Krakow, Leeuwarden and Ljubljana. Today, it counts 33 cities and regions from 21 countries from all over the European continent, and more are joining every year.
Through the EFFE Seal, EFA aims to offer a platform for more synergies between festivals and their local authorities to exchange and explore ways of collaboration. It invites cities and regions to discuss local practices and policies related to festivals with peers from across Europe.
The EFFE Seal activities are implemented by EFA and co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
