10th Tanz Platz

The international contemporary dance festival Tanz Platz is held in Novi Sad, Serbia, organised by the Student Cultural Centre Novi Sad (SKCNS). The festival showcases performances by young and emerging dancers, choreographers and other professionals from across Europe, and invites audiences to engage with current trends in contemporary dance and performance culture.Tanz Platz was developed with the support of the European dance platform Aerowaves, whose focus is on nurturing rising talent in the field of contemporary dance.The programme typically features a diverse international lineup of performances, discussions, and workshops, creating a space for cross-cultural dialogue, experimentation, and audience interaction. Past editions have included artists from numerous countries and have addressed themes such as migration, identity, movement, and the body in motion.By bringing together emerging practitioners and a curious public, Tanz Platz reinforces the idea that contemporary dance thrives when creators and audiences meet across borders — and that the art form evolves through such encounters.
