27th Caminhos Film Festival

Caminhos do Cinema Português is a generalist film festival focused on contemporary Portuguese cinematography. It is a unique event in Portugal due to the way it promotes exhibition, discussion and cinematographic practice through competitive sections, parallel exhibitions, film retrospectives and pedagogical and professional training activities at a theoretical and practical level.

The Festival Caminhos do Cinema Português has been, since 1988, one of the main references in the Portuguese Cinematographic panorama. It is the only festival dedicated to Portuguese Cinema in all its aspects (final projects from film schools, animation, documentaries, short films and feature films) and is the ultimate showcase for the cinematographic works produced annually in Portugal.

This event is the opportunity to bring creators and spectators together in a single space of artistic interaction, a place where one can follow the evolution of the national film industry in the first person.

In its 27th edition, we reiterate the festival's commitment to recognizing the importance of animation cinema as an important feature of the quality of national cinematography. There is also the reinforcement of the cultural ties of our language with the opening of the Parallel Showcase "Films from Lusophony".
