30th Quinzena de Dança de Almada - International Dance Festival

Quinzena de Dança de Almada – International Dance Festival takes place annually and without interruption since 1992, offering the public a set of events that are representative of national and international dance, dedicated to the presentation and promotion of Contemporary Dance.

With a spirit always open to new challenges, the Festival develops a policy of inclusion, open to different types of performance, supporting new creators, alongside initiatives in view of spreading the appreciation and practice of Dance among different audiences, in a perspective of active interaction with the community.

Created and organised by Companhia de Dança de Almada, this festival offers not only performances, but also other activities related to dance, such as workshops, meetings, training and sharing activities, exhibitions, digital performance and video dance. The performances take place in formal or informal spaces, establishing possibilities of dialogue with the urban architecture and with the audiences.

Included in the Festival, the International Platform for Choreographers opens the event to the participation of companies and independent creators of Contemporary Dance from all over the world, becoming an important meeting point for choreographers, dancers and dance agents, open to international exchange and promotion.
