31th EUROSHORTS Young Filmmakers, International Film Festival
Euroshorts is an international short film festival created in 1992 in Poland.
Its most essential principle is to promote and support young
filmmakers – and all screenings of fiction, documentary, animation,
experimental films and creative commercials serve that very purpose.
"Young Filmmakers" means young professional filmmakers/video artists or film/art school students.
The Festival Premiere takes place in Gdansk, Warszawa, Katowice and Zielona Góra, then the event reaches art galleries and cultural centers in 15 more cities.
Euroshorts is completely independent. Among other things which make the Festival pretty special is that, partly thanks to its unique atmosphere, it manages to reach a surprisingly broad audience. And it does that despite not having a large budget.
Euroshorts is open to all short films which are original, beautiful and powerful, including first films and student films.
The event is organized under the honorary patronage of Ms Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, the Mayor of Gdańsk, and Mr Mieczysław Struk, the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship.
