Actoral 2026

Initiated in 2001, actoral is one of the flagship events of the cultural season in Marseille and in France. It brings together around twenty theatres and cultural centers that work together for 3 weeks and 5 weekends, on a program with more than 200 artists, for an audience of over 11,000 spectators. In 2026, it will take place from September 24th to October 10th in Marseille, starting with a prelude on the weekend of September 12th. As a collaborative project, actoral always relies on numerous partners, at the local, national and international levels. Each year, the festival honors authors andartists in the fields of theatre, dance, poetry, literature, visual arts, music... who question the notion of stage writing. The program, made of shows, stagings, performances, exhibitions and live readings, each with a peculiar purpose, challenge the traditional boundaries between the various artistic realms and fields, thereby serving the discovery of a new generations of artists, arousing the appetite of a renewed audience and bringing to the fore both the forms of today, and those of tomorrow.
