AEI Film Festival 2024

The Cyprus International Archaeological, Ethnographic and Historical Film Festival is organised annually by the non-profit cultural organisation A.E.I. AUDIOVISUAL FORUM. It was held for the first time in 2018.

Each year the AEI Film Festival screens remarkable Cypriot and international documentaries that aim to disseminate the historical and cultural richness of each participating country through the telling of unique anthropocentric stories from all corners of the world, tracing the course of global human civilization through the eyes of the creators, as the AEI Film Festival slogan: “Human Journeys in Time and Space” aptly suggests.

The 7th edition of the AEI Film Festival will take place in June 2024, at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Center open air amphitheater, located at the heart of the historic center of Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus.

Within the framework of the AEI FILM FESTIVAL 2024 notable Cypriot and international documentaries are screened that fall under the Organisation’s theme and aim to spread the historical and cultural wealth of each participating country and to establish relations and collaborations with the Festival and other cultural agents within and outside the Cypriot borders, sharing alike vision and philosophy.

Institutional sponsors of the Festival are the Department of Modern & Contemporary Culture, Debuty Ministry of Culture, Cyprus through the CULTURE programme, the Cyprus RadioTelevision Authority and the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO.
