Atlantico Festival
Atlantico Festival started in 2018, with a two-day grassroots and self-funded festival, exploring the spectrum of African and Afrodiasporic cultures (music, cinema, contemporary art and beyond). Since 2019, and with greater reason, since the COVID 19 pandemic, the festival has been taking on new formats of artistic creation/production and its events has been hosted in different locations in the city of Bologna, collaborating with other like-minded cultural organizations in Bologna and in other Italian cities.
Over the years, Atlantico has invited (and displayed works from) more than 20 artists from UK, France, Mozambique, Cuba, Brazil, Tunisia, Italy, Egypt, Canada, Sweden, Nigeria, Senegal, Mali, Bermuda, Belgium, Colombia, Cape Verde, Morocco, Uganda.
