The festival of Balkan and world music, Lokum Fest-music and tradition is one of the most prominent festivals of this type in the Balkans and this part of Europe. Inspired by the fusion of cultures, music and traditions of the peoples who lived in the Balkans and Macedonia, during the Ottoman Empire, creating a unique cultural amalgam, which combines Macedonian, Turkish, Greek, Jewish, Roma, Albanian, Bulgarian and other cultural musical entities. .. The festival is one of the few that promotes cultural heritage through music, using them as stage spaces, while promoting creative industries and historical rarities. It is held every third week from July (17-19) in Bitola, on several scenic areas. In the past 18 editions, 92 bands and ensembles from 25 countries from the region and the world have performed at Lokum Fest.
