Baroque Explorations is an international project dedicated to baroque music and art, it was estabilished as a local initiative in 2011.

The main idea of the Festival is to spread beauty and knowledge on Baroque music among wider audiences, strengtheninginternational artistic cooperation and development of competenceof the artists.

The main organizer of the festival Szczawnica Chamber Choir association cooperate with great musicians from Central Europe and every year organize variety events like concerts, recitals, operas and oryginal educating activities for children not only in Szczawnica but also in other places of the Malopolska Region and even abroad.

Cooperation of artists focused around the festival as well as realize commons projects resulted in creating an international vocal-instrumental ensemble: Baroque Collegium 1685, which consists of the Szczawnica Chamber Choir and Musica Florea, and invites renowned baroque musicians to joint artistic projects.

The director and coordinator of Baroque Exploration is Polish musicologist and conductor- Agnieszka Żarska.

Upcoming 2019 edition willm consist such events like: baroque opera "Praha nascente da Libussa e Primislao (1734) by Denzi and Vivaldi performed by Musica Florea Praha; concerts "Saul"Oratorio by G.F.Haendel performed by Baroque Collegium 1685 (choir&orchestra) and soloists, conducting by Agnieszka Żarska; masterclasses leading by Peter Kooij; Bach's Cantatas concert performed by Baroque Collegium 1685.
