Biennale En Commun(s)

Biennale En Commun(s) is a biennial festival of visual, digital and hybrid arts, co-organised by SIANA and Les Ateliers de Grand Paris Sud in the south of Greater Paris.

Launched in 2025, it grew out of two long-standing initiatives dedicated to digital creation: SIANA’s biennial programme, developed since 2007, and Grand Paris Sud’s digital arts programme. Its first edition, HABITER, brought together 14 artists, 26 partners and more than 10,000 visitors, students and school pupils.

The second edition, VOYAGER ∞, will take place from March to May 2027 across several venues in Essonne and Seine-et-Marne. It will explore travel as a way of moving across spaces, temporalities and narratives, questioning our perceptions of living systems, technologies and changing environments. Science fiction will provide a common thread, opening perspectives on climate change, space exploration and technological transformations through speculative and alternative narratives.

More than twenty emerging and established artists will take part through exhibitions, installations, residencies, performances, talks, workshops and participatory projects spanning digital arts, visual arts, design and art-science practices. The Biennale also provides a platform for long-term research-creation and residencies developed in collaboration with universities and scientific partners.

Its multi-site format connects cultural venues, universities, schools and community organisations across the territory. Alongside the exhibitions, encounters with artists, workshops and mediation programmes involve students, families and local residents, including communities with limited access to cultural opportunities.

Biennale En Commun(s) creates a shared space for experimentation, dialogue and encounters between contemporary creation, science and diverse audiences.
