Book World Prague 2023 | 28th International Book Fair and Literary Festival

For the 28th edition of the Book World Prague literary festival we decided not to bind ourselves with the concept of "the country as an Honored Guest". The main theme of this year's edition is "AUTHORS WITHOUT BORDERS". We want to give space to authors who have moved (or are still moving) across different countries, languages, cultures. At the same time, we will also focus on many other forms of crossing borders, limits, genres, concepts and habitual patterns.

In 2023, we will again give space to an important section of our literary festival called LITERATURE AS THE VOICE OF FREEDOM. All sorts of freedom seekers, from political dissidents to unorthodox thinkers, from gender equality fighters to controversial writers, find asylum and support at Book World Prague festival. In 2021, the first contribution to this programme the festival turned its attention to Belarus, in 2022 it was to Ukraine. A number of personalities from countries where freedom of speech is not a common concept and the functioning of society is not based on democratic principles are also planned for 2023.
